The Cherry Hills Library is located at the corner of Harper Road and Barstow Street NE, one block east of the intersection of Harper Road and Wyoming Blvd. The Library is adjacent to the Del Norte Shopping Center whose tenants include McDonald's and Walgreens.

By Bus

Route #31: Wyoming. Get off at Harper and Wyoming and then walk east on Harper. Plan your trip here.

By Car

Freeway Directions from I-25:
Take I-25 to the San Antonio exit. Drive eastbound on San Antonio for two miles. San Antonio Avenue becomes Harper Road East of Wyoming.

Surface Street Directions from Wyoming Blvd:
Take Wyoming to Harper. Go east on Harper past McDonald's and Walgreen's to the stoplight at Harper and Barstow. Turn left at this intersection.

Meeting Rooms

Cherry Hills has one meeting room that will hold a maximum of 55 people. Policy, rules and required forms for using the meeting room may be found at Meeting and Study Rooms as well as a list of meeting rooms at other branches.

Study Rooms

Cherry Hills has two study rooms that will hold a maximum of six people each. The study rooms may be reserved (call 857-8321) up to one week in advance for no more than two hours per person/group a day. Check in at the Information Desk with your library card to gain access to the study room.

Fiction To Go  We are a Fiction to Go location! What is Fiction to Go? The Friends for the Public Library sells slightly used, recently published fiction titles for $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks. Like all funds that our Friends receive, all proceeds from Fiction to Go sales benefit the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Libraries!

Join Ms. Laura each month for fun art or science activities. Preregistration required and child must be accompanied by an adult.

Leap into Science    ages 7 - 12
Explore a scientific concept through hands-on activities. Registration required.

LEGO Club    ages 6 – 12
Participate in Lego building around a theme or just for fun. Registration required.

Read to the Dogs    children
Practice reading with a patient listener. Therapy dogs provide a relaxing space to read without fear of judgment. No registration required. See more information about this program.

Baby and Toddler Storytime    families
Enjoy an interactive storytime with your child that includes early literacy fun with books, songs, fingerplays and body movement. Weekly Baby and Toddler Storytime is targeted for ages 0 - 3.

Preschool Storytime    families
Join in the fun with stories, songs, puppets and more that encourage development of early literacy skills in young children, using the guidelines from the Every Child Ready to Read program. Weekly Preschool Storytime is targeted for ages 3 - 5.
