The South Valley Library is located one-quarter mile south of the intersection of Rio Bravo Blvd. and Isleta Blvd SW. The Library is at the intersection of Isleta Blvd. and Camino del Valle.

Freeway Directions:
Take I-25 south to the Rio Bravo exit, turn right and go west across the Rio Grande bridge to the signal at Isleta Blvd. and Rio Bravo Blvd. Turn left and go south on Isleta Blvd. to the first signal, at Camino del Valle.Turn left on Camino del Valle, and you will see the library on your right.

Meeting Rooms

South Valley has one meeting room that will hold a maximum of 32 people. Policy, rules and required forms for using the meeting room may be found at Meeting and Study Rooms as well as a list of meeting rooms at other branches.

Study Rooms

South Valley has two study rooms that will hold a maximum of four people each. The study rooms are available on a first come, first served basis and may not be reserved. Check in at the Information Desk with your library card to gain access to the study room.

Fiction To Go  We are a Fiction to Go location! What is Fiction to Go? The Friends for the Public Library sells slightly used, recently published fiction titles for $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks. Like all funds that our Friends receive, all proceeds from Fiction to Go sales benefit the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Libraries!

Every Child Ready to Read Preschool Storytime    families
Join in the fun with stories, songs, puppets and more that encourage development of early literacy skills in young children, using the guidelines from the Every Child Ready to Read program. Weekly Preschool Storytime targeted for ages 3-5.

South Valley Book Club    adults
Come and join the fun reading and discussing a variety of contemporary fiction. Book Club meets monthly. See the full events calendar for what we'll be discussing at each meeting.

South Valley Fiber Fever    adults
Work on your knitting, crochet or fiber projects in the company of like-minded enthusiasts during our monthly, evening meeting.

Lego Club    children ages 4+
Come build as a team or work on your own creation during our monthly club. Please leave your own Lego at home. Please bring a camera to remember the creations, as the Lego's live at the library and cannot be taken home. Meets third Friday every month.

Board Games    all ages
Come and play board games in our program room! Games provided. Meets fourth Friday every month.

Computer Classes    adults and teens
One on one class focuses on learning beginning computer skills such as navigating the Internet, typing a Word document or creating an email account. Every Thursday at 11am, registration is required. Participants must have a library card in good standing.

Gizmo Garage    adults and teens
Bring your devices to our Gizmo Garage session and learn how to download eBook and eAudiobooks. On the first Saturday of each month at noon.

Library LEGO Club

Meets on the 3rd Friday of every month from 3 - 5pm and build with friends. All ages welcome! Legos provided! Please bring a camera to remember the creations, as the legos live at the library and cannot be taken home.Click here for details.
